Baby Inc is a dream come true for our founder, former Miss Universe SA, Carol Reynolds. Inspired by the birth of her 2 children, Jade and Ethan, Carol decided to immerse herself in a world of all things bright and beautiful, and so, in 2004, BABY INC was born. Carol’s natural creative flair has ensured a hugely successful mix of clothing, décor and linen, as well as a unique range of trendy yet practical nursery and children’s bedroom furniture. Soon after the arrival of baby inc. Hout Bay, Carol embarked on the delivery of her second store, in Somerset West mall. This flagship store opened in November 2005 and is now being carefully brought up by Lucy and Irene, Mums and sisters. Lucy comes from a retail background and is the mother of a little boy called Leandro. Irene is a mother of 3, and is thoroughly enjoying the challenge of balancing babies and Baby Inc! By July 2006, it was clear that baby inc. was on the road to expansion, and Carol teamed up with Andrew (our own Charlie), Sally and Kim (who now own the baby inc. in Hout Bay), to help bring baby inc. to parents in all parts of South Africa. Andrew is the strategy man, responsible for the direction of the baby inc. brand. He is a very hands-on father to 4 children (two boys and twin girls), and certainly understands the baby world after changing all those nappies alongside his wife Karin. We are fanatical about mixing beauty with lasting quality, and you can be sure that anything you buy from us will last and continue to look fabulous for many seasons to come. Our clothing ranges include established South African designers, whose ranges are trendy but functional, and whose clothes are made to last through many washes and many months of good hard use. We stock a wide range of 100% cotton linen ranges for both boys and girls equally, and have developed a range of furniture to suit all personality types! Our furniture has been designed to be distinctive in look, very different to the mass market furniture available, and is suitable for all types and sizes of room, being both practical and impressive! Creating a child’s paradise is our specialty, so naturally, we offer all the essential décor items you will need to complement your child’s room, whether distinctly themed or not!
