Bowls of Beauty is our latest addition to this Cape Town based, family run business started in 1991 by me, Daniela Bonnici. I started producing children's pottery, assisted by my brother Jean-Pierre, in my back garden. In 1995 we evolved and moved into the ornament and dinnerware market, first selling our pottery by word of mouth and at craft markets and since 1996 from our studio and retail outlet in the bustling, cosmopolitan suburb of Sea Point, Cape Town. It is here that all orders are received and our unique pottery and washbowls are made, hand painted, fired before being carefully dispatched to countries all over the world. We continue to sell at the Houtbay Craft Market and have also broadened our sales area to an International level by marketing our wares over the Internet. Bowls of Beauty was born late in 2003, as a result of my not being able to find the perfect washbowl when doing home renovations. I decided to make my own - hand painted and customized to my requirements. The business continues to evolve as new members of the staff bring their own unique talents and creative flair with them and add to our existing style of painting. We are a truly African team, with members from South Africa as well as Zimbabwe and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Though my family originally comes from Europe and some still reside there, I am a third generation African with strong mixed influences for style and colour. Stunning stoneware washbowls, made and hand painted in our Cape Town Studio in African designs. We can aslo paint splashback tiles and soap dishes to match your washbowl. Use in the bathroom, kitchen as a prepbowl or outside near your braai area.
